Rob Zombie released his third single, "(I'm a) Rock 'N' Roller," this Friday, the 23rd, as part of his highly anticipated album, The Great Satan , scheduled for release on February 27th by Nuclear Blast Records.
The new single is pure Rob Zombie DNA: it features his usual heavy and distinctive groove, accompanied by arena-ready choruses. It's a clear statement from the iconic and eccentric frontman that "Rock & Roll is here to stay.".
The release coincides with the announcement of Zombie's joint tour with his labelmate, Marilyn Manson , scheduled for August and September.
Following the success of The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy (2021), which charted in the Top 10, Zombie returns with his 8th studio album. In The Great Satan , he revisits his “Hellbilly” roots to deliver a visceral mix of heavy rock and metal with punk influences.
There's also a significant overhaul in the band. After nearly two decades away, bassist Rob “Blasko” Nicholson has returned to the group, filling the position left by Matt “Piggy D.” Montgomery in early 2024.
Another change occurred on guitar. John 5 's departure to Mötley Crüe at the end of 2022 , Zombie brought back Mike Riggs , a partner from the formative years who participated in the recordings of Hellbilly Deluxe and The Sinister Urge . These two returns reinforce the feeling of returning to the roots that permeates the new work.
