Rob Zombie is working on an adaptation of the sitcom The Munsters . The musician, who has also worked as a director and screenwriter for years, has taken on both roles in the new production, which, according to him, was a long-held dream .

Excited, the musician shared some details of the costume on his social media, which seems to play with gothic elements – very much in Zombie's style. In the caption, he wrote: “Things are really heating up in the costume department here in Budapest. Here are some quick glimpses.”

In June, the musician had released an image of the official blueprint showing an identical replica of the iconic mansion from the 1964 TV series. In the caption he wrote: “The blueprint is ready! Time to start building. Get ready for the most perfect Munsters house since 1964. I want this to be exact.” See it here.

The Munsters was a sitcom that mixed horror and comedy and received its first film adaptation in 1966 with the movie Munsters Unleashed . Rob Zombie's version does not yet have a release date, but the artist is in familiar territory, having already directed horror films such as the remakes of Halloween (2007) and Halloween 2 (2009) and the cult classics House of 1000 Corpses (2003) and The Devil's Rejects (2005).
