Musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie has confirmed the release of his eighth studio album, titled The Great Satan . The album is scheduled for release on February 27, 2026, via Nuclear Blast Records , and its first single, the track "Punks And Demons," has already been released, accompanied by a music video directed by the artist himself.
The successor to The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy (2021), the new work is described as a return to the sounds of the beginning of his solo career, reclaiming his "Hellbilly" roots with a strong infusion of punk rock and heavy metal.
Back to the roots: Changes in the lineup
The new album also consolidates a new phase for Rob Zombie's band, which has undergone significant changes recently. Bassist Rob “Blasko” Nicholson , who played on the artist's first three iconic albums ( Hellbilly Deluxe , The Sinister Urge , and Educated Horses ), returned to the group after 18 years, replacing Matt “Piggy D.” Montgomery , who announced his departure in January 2024.
There was also a change in the guitar lineup, which occurred at the end of 2022. With John 5 leaving for Mötley Crüe , replacing guitarist and founding member Mick Mars , Zombie recruited another familiar face to fans: guitarist Mike Riggs . Like Blasko, Riggs was a key figure in the early years of Rob Zombie's solo career, having recorded the albums Hellbilly Deluxe and The Sinister Urge before leaving in 2004.
