Firepower will be released in 2018
In an interview with VintageRock, Rob Halford spoke about expectations for the new Judas Priest album and the importance of guitarist Richie Faulkner in the process.
The band is currently in the studio recording their new album Firepower , the successor to Redeemer Of Souls , and according to Halford, it will be one of the band's best works.
The frontman took the opportunity to highlight the importance of guitarist Richie Faulkner on the album:
“It’s Richie’s moment. When we did ‘Redeemer Of Souls’ with him, of course, it was his first time as a songwriter in Judas Priest. It was great to have him in the band at that time. The experience of writing and going on a world tour raised his level. The way he plays on the new album is unbelievable. And with his contribution to the songwriting and Richie’s, Glenn’s and mine… this is one of our best works, without a doubt.”
Firepower will be released in early 2018.
