Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford said the band is expected to release a new album in early 2017. Check out the statement:
“We’re going to start songwriting sessions very soon. And that’s great. I can’t wait to get back into the songwriting zone. That, for me, is one of the most exciting parts of Priest. (…) You plug in the amps and ‘boom,’ you can have the next amazing Priest song by the end of the day. I love that part of being in Priest. So that’s the next step – songwriting sessions, getting some good material ready, and when Scott and Ian come to play, we start fitting the songs together. As always, it will be ready when it’s ready, but we still have an extraordinary amount of material that we’ve been collecting during the tour. So I’m optimistic that we should have something ready by… probably not by the end of this year, but by the beginning of next year.”.
