Rob Halford of Judas Priest has been promoting his new solo album Celestial and celebrating the band's latest induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame . But there's one achievement he still hopes to accomplish: becoming a judge on RuPaul's Drag Race .
In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Halford praised the talent show:
"Put all the drag queens in metal. Let's do this, Ru!" Halford said, addressing RuPaul.
I'm a fan of RuPaul's Drag Race! I love that show in all the emotional spaces it presents. The interaction, the support, the fun, and the wickedness. It's great. It's a beautiful glimpse into a part of our world and it's really important. It's very valuable
He adds: “Programs like Ru or Queer Eye are wonderful opportunities for people who don’t know about us. Just to look, listen and learn.”
