Rob Halford is considered by many to be one of the most likeable and eclectic figures in metal, having expressed his admiration for and willingness to collaborate with names outside the genre, such as Lady Gaga . But recently, the Metal God announced that a partnership with a big name in death metal is definitely going to happen: Nergal , from Behemoth .
“I love Nergal so much. He’s so brave,” Halford praised in an interview with Little Punk People . “He’s so in his own world, and I really admire that in any musician who has that conviction.”
“It’s something that’s always there, you know, that background thing. It’s on the wish list, whatever you want to call it. It’s definitely going to happen,” he emphasizes. “Just for me as a singer, I’ve always admired that kind of performance, the way Nergal uses his voice. So, one day there will be a duet with Nergal and the Metal God . That will happen.”
