Vocalist Rob Halford spoke about the past and future of Judas Priest.
Rob Halford , frontman of Judas Priest , said that a new album from the band should be on the way.
In an interview with May The Rock Be With You , Halford spoke about the band's past and future.
He was asked what has kept the band going for almost 50 years. “It’s hard to put into words. It’s something internal – you can’t switch it off. At the end of a tour, you’re just so tired you want to go home and sleep in your bed. Two weeks later, you can’t wait to be on the road again. Everything we do is because of what we call the ‘wonderful metal community’. The bands, the fans, everyone looking out for each other. It’s really great,” he said.
Regarding the future, Rob stated: “The band is buzzing with excitement over the reactions and support from fans around the world. It all makes you think, 'What would happen if we made another song? And then another? And then an album?' Each of our albums has different sounds and characteristics. We always want something disruptive in our music. We're already thinking about it again. I'd say we definitely have a new Priest album on the way.”
