Rob Halford , vocalist of Judas Priest , revealed he is working on a solo blues album. The news was revealed by the musician himself in an interview on the Paltrocast With Darren Paltrowitz podcast.

Halford has expressed his desire to make a blues album for some time, but never confirmed anything until today. Paltrowitz asked if the project is still something he's thinking about, and the vocalist confirmed: "It's a possibility, yes, and I'll give you an exclusive: it's already started."

“I’m working on a blues album with my brother [ Nigel ] and my nephew and friends who worked with me on the Celestial [Christmas album released in 2019]. We had so much fun and they are so talented. And this blues thing never left me – it’s part of rock and roll.”

The musician said that he is still in the early stages of the project and does not yet have a confirmed date. "I have some ideas here and they're sounding really good," he said. While working on his solo album, Halford is preparing the release of his autobiography, Confess, on September 29th via Hachette Books . The book is available for pre-order at this link.
