Rob Halford says he hasn't heard the new band from KK Downing and Tim "Ripper" Owens

The Judas Priest vocalist quickly changed the subject when asked about KK's Priest

While KK Downing recently named the six songs he considers the most important in Judas Priest , Rob Halford hasn't shown the same enthusiasm for his former bandmates' solo project.

KK's Priest , the band formed by Downing and two other former members of Judas Priest ( Tim "Ripper" Owens and Les Binks ), released their debut album, Sermons Of The Sinner , almost two months ago, but Halford said he hasn't been following the work of his former colleagues.

In an interview with Mariskal Rock , Rob Halford was asked what he thought of KK's Priest, and his answer was quite brief and to the point. "I haven't heard them," he said. "When I do, I'll tell you. But I prefer to focus on the 50th anniversary celebration [of Judas Priest], on the release of this box set. This box set is an extraordinary representation of the life story of this band."

The box set in question is the special and limited anniversary edition of Judas Priest's 50 Heavy Metal Years Of Music . Besides showing no interest in KK's Priest's work, Rob Halford also recently revealed that he has never listened to Judas' albums with Tim "Ripper" Owens on vocals because it's not him singing, so he didn't feel "drawn to listen".
