Rob Halford has already been vaccinated against COVID-19 and is now using his prestigious position as a metal god to encourage heavy metal fans to do the same.
In a video posted on Instagram, the vocalist praises fans of the musical style who have already been vaccinated and leaves a message for all his followers. “Hey everyone, this is your metal god, Rob Halford , from Judas Priest, sending a huge thank you to our metal community for doing the right thing by getting the life-saving vaccine that will eventually eradicate COVID-19 worldwide,” he begins. “One thing we pride ourselves on in metal is that we’re not just united by our music, but also by each other.”
Halford continues with a reminder about how the vaccine is an important step in the return to normalcy for concerts, clubs, theaters, arenas, and music festivals. "I urge those who haven't yet been vaccinated to take action. Judas Priest and bands everywhere are complete when they perform for an audience," he concluded.
