The band was awarded for their body of work
Last Thursday, May 2nd, Metallica received the "Ronnie James Dio" award during the 5th Revolver Golden God Award ceremony.
In addition to playing 'Disposable Heroes', 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' and 'Seek And Destroy', the band surprised everyone by bringing Rob Halford on stage and performing the Judas Priest classic 'Rapid Fire'.
