In an interview with the Opie And Jim Norton show, former Exodus vocalist Rob Dukes spoke about his departure from the band and commented on Exodus' songwriting shortly before his exit: "There was no passion. It was just regurgitation of everything they'd already written a thousand times."
Dukes comments that when he looks back, he regrets not leaving the group: “You know when you look back and think, ‘I should have just quit.’ I was unhappy and I didn’t like the songs they were writing. It was crap. And I said what I thought. Everyone turned against me and that was the end.”
Bonded By Blood is the best song celebrating its 30th anniversary.
He continues: “I was under a lot of pressure. I was getting married, moving, I had a lot on my mind. And they fired me on my honeymoon. Three days after my wedding, which was really awful. But I've gotten over it. I'm much happier than I've ever been before.”
Exodus fired Rob Dukes in the middle of last year and brought back their previous vocalist, Steve "Zetro" Souza.
