Riverside's new album will be released in September.

Polish band Riverside has released details of their upcoming studio album, Wasteland . "Our music has become more serious and mature, so get ready for a virile and emotional album," the band said.

The album will be released on September 28th by InsideOut Music, and is the first since the death of guitarist Piotr Grudziński in 2016. The cover art was done by Travis Smith.

“I’ve been thinking about exploring post-apocalyptic regions for a long time. I’ve read books, watched movies, played video games, all connected by stories about trying to survive in a world that has just ended. But writing a story like that didn’t make much sense until now. Riverside is starting a new chapter, and after our recent experiences, a story like this has gained more meaning. Wasteland is mainly about what’s happening in the world today, but it also references the tragedy that befell the band in 2016. Musically, we’ve returned to darker sounds, but we’ve also turned over a new page and recorded the album in a different style. It’s still Riverside, but expressed in a much deeper and more mature way,” said vocalist Mariusz Duda .

The band will be touring Europe in October.

Wasteland tracklist:
1. “The Day After”

3. “Vale Of Tears”
4. “Guardian Angel”
5. “Lament”
6. “The Struggle For Survival”
