Rivalry between Jimmy Page and Robbie Williams hints at a comeback.

Robbie Williams has plans to cut down a tree "infested with fungus"

The rivalry between Robbie Williams and Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin could reignite due to plans to cut down a "fungus-infested" tree.

Williams recently requested permission from Kensington and Chelsea Council to cut down the maple tree that was infected with honey fungus, which drew objections from his neighbors.

"There is no explanation for why this tree should be cut down; only a series of photos show that it is partially damaged," says the objection, via Yahoo! News .

"Shouldn't there be a written report accompanying each proposed felling, outlining what actions can be taken before resorting to cutting down this tree as a last resort?"

The permit was submitted by tree surgeon Michael Goatly of Putney Tree Specialists on behalf of Williams: “Norway maple tree – remove due to extensive decay at the base (honey fungus). Replant with TBC species.”

Although Jimmy Page is not directly named in the complaints, neighbors have clashed in the past when the guitarist objected to trees being cut down near his home.

Page had previously protested Williams' plans to build a "super basement" with a gym and swimming pool, claiming the construction could damage his home; however, he was given permission to proceed with the project.
