Ritchie Blackmore said during an interview that he believes the current Rainbow lineup is the best they've ever had.
The musician is referring to the lineup consisting of: Ronnie Romero (vocals), Jens Johansson (keyboards), David Keith (drums), Bob Nouveau (bass), and Candice Night and Lady Lynn (backing vocals).
When asked about the matter, Ritchie said that Ronnie is a great vocalist and “gives us the freedom to focus on what we’re doing.” Recalling their first comeback show in 2016, Blackmore reveals that the band could have rehearsed and worked harder to deliver a better show: “I didn’t play every song in the set in a cool and good way.”
He goes on to say that working with "lesser-known musicians" is much more inspiring because it's possible to see each of them growing with the band.
