Ritchie Blackmore revealed this weekend a photo with the current lineup of Rainbow, the band with whom the guitarist will be playing some shows in Europe, performing classics from Deep Purple and Rainbow.
Blackmore's band (pictured above) will feature Lords Of Black vocalist Ronnie Romero, Stratovarius keyboardist Jens Johansson, Blackmore's Night drummer David Keith, and former Blackmore's Night bassist Bob Nouveau.
The guitarist commented on the reunion in Billboard: “I’m 70 years old now, I felt like playing Rock N’ Roll for a few days. We’re going to do four or five dates, probably in England, Germany and Sweden, and just old Rock, Purple and Rainbow. I’m doing this for the fans, for the nostalgia, and the vocalist I found is very exciting; he’s something between Dio and Freddie Mercury.”
