This Wednesday, the 1st, Rita Lee , João Lee , used social media to deny false rumors about the singer's death.
João posted a photo of Rita's hands holding a tub of ice cream and reassured fans: “Guys, my mom is okay. I'm here with her now. She's eating ice cream. Don't fall for fake news. I love you, Mom.”
Rita Lee was admitted to the Albert Einstein Israelite Hospital at the end of last week, and rumors reported that her health was delicate. However, her family reassured fans with an official statement, arguing that "like anyone who has undergone or is undergoing cancer treatment, hospitalizations for tests and evaluations may be necessary."
On his social media profile , João Lee also commented: “I want to inform you that Rita is doing well, getting stronger, and recovering. It is understood that there will always be monitoring exams and therapies to be carried out, which will eventually result in hospitalizations, since we have to deal with the disease and the side effects of the treatments.”
Rita Lee underwent treatment for lung cancer and has been cured since April 2022 .
