According to the text, the tumor was identified in its early stages, which allows for a high probability of cure. Also according to those responsible for Rita Lee's social media accounts, she is already at home and preparing to begin appropriate treatment for the tumor. The singer is 73 years old.

Tests revealed a primary tumor in the left lung. Well cared for by a medical team comprised of Dr. Óren Smaletz, Prof. Dr. José Ribas M. de Campos, Dr. Carmen Silvia Valente Barbas, and Dr. Ícaro Carvalho, she is already at home and will continue with immunotherapy and radiotherapy treatments.
