Last Friday, the 10th, Rise Against surprised fans with the release of the EP Nowhere Generation II . The project contains five tracks that were left out of the album Nowhere Generation , released in 2021.
Regarding the EP, vocalist Tim McIlrath comments: “We had written 16 songs for this album and decided to separate them. Not only could the music be lost, but the message could be lost if we asked people to listen to it all at once. I hope this is a more effective way to give these issues the platform and attention they deserve.”
“We wanted to save these [songs] and give them to our fans when we felt they would have had time to properly digest the first part. These songs are our ace in the hole,” he concludes.
To coincide with the EP release , Rise Against also released the music video for "Last Man Standing," which was chosen as the single for this phase of our career. Check them both out:
