Following the success of their most recent album, Nowhere Generation , and their sold-out summer tour in the United States, Rise Against announces a new way to celebrate this phase of their career with the EP Nowhere Sessions .
The project features 6 tracks from Nowhere Generation in live format, including the title track, “Savior”, “Hybrid Moments”, “Fortunate Son”, “Broken Dreams, Inc” and “Talking to Ourselves”, which was recently released as a preview of what's to come.
“'Talking To Ourselves' is about seeing yourself and the people around you becoming complacent,” says guitarist Tim McIrath . “No matter how hard you try to get people's attention, it seems like nobody is listening. Sometimes we feel the need to do something crazy, to disturb the peace, to shake the world around us so that it wakes up. Our actions may be seen as unusual, but they are acts of desperation when everything else fails.”
Regarding the rest of the songs, McIrath comments: “Our songs take very different paths when we play them live or acoustically. In a way, every time we play it, it’s something different. It was fun documenting one of these sessions and we’re excited to share it with the world.”
The EP Nowhere Sessions will be released on digital platforms on November 12th.
