Legendary DJ Ringo Starr is the latest artist to join the MasterClass , which brings together big names from sports, entertainment, politics, and culture for online classes.
Starr will give a lesson on drumming and creative collaborations, consisting of 10 videos totaling two hours. Each lesson will cover a different topic, and Ringo promises to talk about the most important aspects such as equipment selection, techniques, tips, and even how to connect with the audience.
The former Beatle will also talk a bit about his history and his own experience, including his time with the Fab Four and the All-Starr Band . In addition, the drummer will discuss other collaborations he's done throughout his career and share some of his biggest influences.
In the final lesson, according to MasterClass, Starr will play with an all-star team that includes keyboardist Jim Cox , bassist Nathan East , Steve Lukather ( Toto ) and Joe Walsh ( Eagles ) on guitar, and Gregg Bissonette and Jim Keltner alongside Starr on drums.
The course is available on the Masterclass website as part of an annual package for US$180 – approximately R$1,000 at the current exchange rate – which entitles you to over 100 classes taught by celebrities and expert instructors. Check out a trailer of the project below.
