Rick Hunolt , former guitarist of Exodus , has a new band called Die Humane . The news was announced last Saturday, not by the guitarist himself, but by Mark Biedermann of Blind Illusion .
Biedermann wrote on his Facebook: “Rick Hunolt’s new band, Die Humane, is going to surprise you all. I wish I could share what he showed me, but just know that it’s refreshing, new and different with incredible vocals and quality guitars! I say this after listening to one song, and only once.”
Rick Hunolt was a member of Exodus from 1985 to 2004, and made a guest appearance on the band's most recent album, Persona Non Grata . In a press conference held in November, Gary Holt responded to a question from Wikimetal and assured them that Hunolt is "part of the family" and that he "will always be welcome" to play with Exodus.
“We intend to keep inviting Rick over because I never have as much fun as when I’m around him. Rick smiles, I smile. That’s the kind of relationship we have,” Holt commented.
