Richie Sambora Bon Jovi reunion is getting closer.
In an interview with Absolute Radio , the guitarist confirmed that there are ongoing discussions about the matter, although some obstacles are delaying the official reunion. "We're talking about it," he stated. "I don't think there's a reason why it shouldn't happen at this point."
According to Sambora, lead singer Jon Bon Jovi was experiencing some vocal problems, which was the reason for the delay in the reunion. "Jon was having some voice problems and he needed some time to rest," he said. "I don't know when Jon will recover his voice and when [the reunion] will happen, but we need to do this for the fans. I feel it's an obligation."
In November, Richie Sambora indicated that he was in talks with his former bandmates about a possible appearance at Bon Jovi's Glastonbury festival show , which takes place in June 2023. The guitarist left Bon Jovi in 2013, stating that he wanted to spend more time with his family and, in particular, his teenage daughter Ava . In 2018, he joined the band for a performance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame .
