Richie Sambora has spoken once again about a possible reunion with Bon Jovi .
The guitarist has been commenting on the possibility since November , saying more than once that he and the band were "talking" and that a reunion would be almost an "obligation" to make the fans happy.
In a recent appearance on Nights With Alice Cooper , however, Sambora gave a different answer when asked if he was about to return to Bon Jovi:
"No, I'm not even close to that! Nobody has asked me that yet. But I would come back tomorrow even if they asked me," he commented.
Richie Sambora left Bon Jovi in 2013, stating that he wanted to spend more time with his family and, in particular, his teenage daughter Ava . In 2018, he rejoined the band for a performance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame .
Recently, Sambora said he was in talks with his Bon Jovi bandmates, but that a possible reunion was being postponed for several reasons.
“Jon was having some voice problems and he needed some time to rest,” he explained. “I don’t know when Jon will recover his voice and when [the reunion] will happen, but we need to do this for the fans. I feel it’s an obligation.”
