Richie Faulkner and Glenn Tipton

Richie Faulkner talks about playing with Glenn Tipton again: "It was incredible"

Check out videos of the presentation.

Richie Faulkner, guitarist for Judas Priest, spoke to an American radio station about the performance that took place in Newark, New Jersey, where the band invited Glenn Tipton to join them on stage.

“We had talked about it, that due to Glenn’s situation he wouldn’t be joining us on tour but he would participate in some shows (…) It was spine-tingling. It was incredible. And we played 'Metal Gods' first, which made sense because we had a Metal God right there with us and that’s proof of what a hero Glenn Tipton is.”

Glenn played three songs: “Metal Gods”, “Breaking The Law” and “Living After Midnight”. The musician had to step away from the stage after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Despite this, the band clarified that he is not retiring or leaving them.

“I decided it would be too much for me ,” Glenn confessed to Guitar World , “With the medication and the different time zones and everything else, I thought it best to retire from large tours. I would never do anything to harm Judas Priest.”

Producer and bandmate Andy Sneap is filling in for him at the shows.
