Judas Priest's Richie Faulkner reveals he's working on a solo project.

The guitarist said he is in the final stages of completing his album

During an appearance on the podcast In The Trenches with Ryan Roxie Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner revealed that he is working on a solo album.

Faulkner decided to use the free time resulting from the pandemic and social isolation to put his own ideas into practice ( Blabbermouth ). "I used this time to listen to some songs I'd been working on, put them together, polish them, get together with some people I respect in the music industry and record some things," he says.

“I haven’t talked much about it,” he continues. “It’s in the process of being finalized and we’re looking for contracts and so on. We’re looking for deals and record labels, so I don’t want to get ahead of myself.”

Richie Faulkner also expressed his gratitude for being part of Judas Priest and felt that now, after almost 12 years, he could invest in a solo project without giving the wrong impression.

“The guys from Priest welcomed me, gave me a voice, gave me an opinion, and I felt that this was my band,” he says. “They made me a part of it, and I reciprocated one thousand percent. So I didn’t want to do anything solo and abuse that opportunity, if you know what I mean. But now, 11 years later, I feel that the fans know that I won’t abuse this opportunity.”
