Richard Ashcroft , vocalist of The Verve , shared today, the 19th, his cover of the song "Bring On The Lucie (Freda Peeple)", by John Lennon , originally from the album Mind Games , from 1973.
The video shows the artist in the studio, and in some scenes, images of Lennon appear along with the phrase "Free The People" displayed in various languages.
The cover is the artist's first solo release since 2018, when he released the album Natural Rebel , but last year he revealed his desire to release a project consisting solely of covers. It is not known for sure if his version of the Lennon classic will be on the eventual album.
