Ricardo Confessori, former drummer of Angra and Shaman, criticized the way 's farewell tour Sepultura has been handled and even issued a warning to the band. According to the musician, announcing a tour of this magnitude without actually keeping their word could cause a loss of enthusiasm among fans.

During an interview with the Ibagenscast channel, Confessori initially didn't hold back in commenting on bands' dependence on anniversary tours. “I think it's enough already, right? It's enough already. They need to do a tour, right? Just remember: 'Wow, that's great. We're celebrating.' Do a show, maybe just one, right? That's good. It's become a bit like, how do you say it? A crutch, right? A crutch to have something to talk about and all that,” he said [transcription via Whiplash].

However, when the subject turned to Sepultura, the focus of the conversation changed, because, according to him, the band may be using the term "farewell" as a way to promote the tour without a final decision to end it having actually been made.

"The fans aren't idiots either, right, man? You keep saying 'farewell tour' and then you don't do it, right? Farewell, and all that. So, there has to be a minimum of consistency, man. That's all I'm saying," he concluded.

Andreas Kisser does not rule out Sepultura shows after farewell tour

In an interview with Metal on Tap, guitarist Andreas Kisser revealed that he doesn't rule out the possibility of performing new shows with Sepultura in the future. The Brazilian band will end its activities this year with the conclusion of its farewell tour, Celebrating Life Through Death.

In the conversation, the musician responded to whether he would rule out a reunion with his bandmates a few years after the end of the tour. Kisser stated that it is "irrelevant" whether the end of activities will happen definitively or not.

“Man, I’m not ruling anything out. It’s irrelevant to say whether [the retirement] will be forever or if we’ll come back. The important thing is that we’re going to stop now. We need this break because we’ve organized everything around it and we need time to look in a different direction,” he explained [transcription via Blabbermouth].
