The São José Theater, in Piracicaba (SP), hosts this Saturday, the 16th, the Reunion Fest II , an event with 10 heavy music bands, including national icons of punk hardcore, names that have been active for decades and two local acts.

The acts for the second edition of the festival are Ratos de Porão , Dead Fish , Paura , Gritando HC , Norte Cartel , Agrotóxico , Xucro , Grindhouse Hotel , Stab , and Escarro Verbal .
The main act of the event, Ratos de Porão, celebrates 40 years of career – completed in 2021 – with the tour of the new album Necropolítica , praised by all specialized media and pointed out as one of the most relevant releases of national rock in 2022.
Another big and well-known name throughout Brazil is Dead Fish, who return to Piracicaba with the 30+1 , playing hits from their 31 years on the road. The band promises a setlist full of classics to sing along to.
This will be Gritando HC's first time in Piracicaba, one of the most classic punk hardcore bands in Brazil, active since 1994! Gritando also brings female representation to the festival and they promise a special setlist to celebrate their long-awaited debut in the city.
A solid pillar of the national hardcore scene, the band Norte Cartel (RJ) has a devoted audience in Piracicaba, a city where they have performed many times, always through Hardcore Pride.
Paura, a classic hardcore band from São Paulo – with numerous appearances in Piracicaba – has been a fixture in the underground for over 25 years. Always musically current and sharp in their lyrical content, Paura once again demonstrates that hardcore is a social tool and a lifelong endeavor.
Agrotóxico is one of the most active punk bands of all time in Brazil, originating in São Paulo and active since 1993. The band has six albums, whose recordings address anarchism, DIY actions and opposition to fascism, third-world violence, ecological problems, among other themes.
Reunion Fest II stage is also for the new blood of national hardcore, such as the São Paulo-based band Xucro. The quartet, which also draws influences from 90s rap and modern metal, was formed in 2020 and uses music as a banner against fascism.
From São Paulo, for the first time in Piracicaba, Grindhouse Hotel brings its catchy and heavy stoner/grunge – and it will also be the debut of the new lineup! The band has been active since 2009, has already performed at Goiânia Noise and shared the stage with important bands such as Red Fang , Kadavar and Radio Moscow .
Stab is a band from the new wave of heavy music from Piracicaba, and their name is already resonating strongly throughout Brazil. The power trio performs a furious thrash metal, with hints of death metal, full of atmospheric passages and even blast beats.
Since 1996 playing fast, dirty and raw! That's how Escarro Verbal sums up 26 years of activity in Piracicaba's hardcore punk scene, influenced by Cólera , Olho Seco , Ratos de Porão , Psychic Possessor and Scum Noise . The band has had the same lineup since 1999.
Reunion Fest II marks the return of event production in Piracicaba by the production company Hardcore Pride , which between the 2000s and 2010s established the city as a national hub for hardcore punk. Through the production company, the city hosted shows by various national and international bands, such as Nueva Etica , Have Heart , The Miracle , 25 ta Life , Asunto , Outbreak , among others.
