The Brazilians released their last album in 2017.

The São Paulo-based quintet República released a lyric video for their new single “Black Wings.” The track is part of the album Brutal & Beautiful , released in September 2017, and introduces a new character to the band's story.

The Crow is the protagonist of the new journey of the São Paulo band and appears in a sinister way in the video directed by drummer Mike Maeda.

“This song is a powerful combination of striking riffs, a pulsating chorus, and frenetic grooves. 'Black Wings' was chosen to open this entire cycle of work – both in concerts and on the album – and it's a very special song for us ,” says guitarist Luiz Fernando Vieira.

Brutal & Beautiful was recorded in the United States and produced by Matt Wallace (Faith No More, Maroon 5, Deftones). Alongside Luiz and Mike, Leo Beling (vocals), Jorge Marinhas (guitar) and Marco Vieira (bass) form República.
