R.E.M. will release their 1999 Glastonbury concert next week; find out more

The presentation will be available for 72 hours starting on the 6th, at 4 PM (Brasilia time)

R.E.M. fans ! The band has announced that they will be making their entire Glastonbury performance from June 25, 1999 available next week.

For just 72 hours, the band's iconic show will be available through their YouTube channel starting next Thursday, the 6th, at 4 PM (Brasilia time).

The band took to the Pyramid Stage at the festival after shows by Blondie, Bush, and Hole. As vocalist Michael Stipe recalled about the night, “Hole played a great set, I was like, ‘I have to elevate this, I have to be great.’ I was thinking that maybe it was a moment for R.E.M. and for the UK where we were kind of forgotten or overlooked by the younger bands, and that was a particular moment at Glastonbury where I think we gave our best and really proved, this is what we are capable of doing. It was a great show for us!”
