Regis Tadeu praises Electric Mob's "great album": "Muscular hard rock"

The album '2 Make U Cry & Dance' is the second from the rising national rock band

Electric Mob 's second studio album was praised by the controversial music critic Regis Tadeu , known for his outspokenness when it comes to negatively criticizing bands and artists he disapproves of.

In a social media post , Regis shared a photo with a physical copy of the album 2 Make U Cry & Dance in hand and commented on the work – this, of course, without missing a chance to take a jab at the catalog of the Italian label Frontiers Music , responsible for the release. In Brazil, the physical CD is released through the Wikimetal Music and is available for sale on the Wikimetal Store .

“It’s very rare for the European label Frontiers to release something worthwhile, but I was happy to see (and hear!) that one of the exceptions is the excellent album by the Brazilian band Electric Mob, 2 Make U Cry & Dance Velvet Revolver influence … Great album!”, wrote Regis Tadeu.

The album 2 Make U Cry & Dance was released in January 2023 and follows the acclaimed Discharge (2020) , which received international attention and put Electric Mob on the world map. The band from Curitiba, formed by Renan Zonta (vocals), Ben Hur Auwarter (guitar), Yuri Elero (bass) and André Leister (drums), has already been played on radio stations in Europe and the United States, entered the Billboard/BDS Indicator Chart and achieved impressive numbers on streaming platforms, with more than 16,000 monthly listeners on Spotify currently.

Possessing an energetic sound, the band's new work represents the refinement of the formula that Electric Mob has followed since its formation in 2016, exploring the fusion of classic old-school elements from the 1970s and 1980s with the explosive groove of heavy rock from the 1990s and 2000s. Exclusively for Wikimetal , Electric Mob explains each of the 11 songs from their second album in a track-by-track analysis. Read it here .
