The track marks the beginning of a new phase for the group following their 2018 album

The São Paulo-based band Red Light DC has released the first single of their new phase. “Fly Away” features a sound inspired by groups like Alice in Chains and Soundgarden while addressing the pains of depression.

Speaking about the music that follows the album Love, Alcohol and Other Drugs , released in 2018, guitarist Renalvo Junior commented, "This new work brings heavier influences, releasing all the energy, like a fighting class after a stressful day."

“Depression is an illness that affects a large number of people. And the reasons can be stress, destructive relationships, daily pressures, or some trauma. Depression is something tense and gray. In the band, we have close people with depression, cases that have even led to suicide, and we wanted to talk about this subject,” laments Ricardo Bruno , bassist.

Red Light DC is Ton Araujo (vocals), Regis Lima (guitar), and Alex Oliveira (drums), in addition to Renalvo and Ricardo. Listen to “Fly Away” below.
