Red Hot Chili Peppers fans . The group announced on their Instagram that guitarist Josh Klinghoffer will be replaced by John Frusciante . Klinghoffer leaves the band after being with Anthony Kiedis and company for ten years.
The news comes as a big surprise, since the band has denied rumors that John would return to the group since his departure. Josh has been with RHCP since 2009 as an official member and, despite his incredible skill with the strings, has never filled the void left by Frusciante.
John Frusciante joined the group in 1988, recording his first album with them the following year, Mother's Milk . Overwhelmed by success, he left in 1992, only to return six years later. In 2009, he left his bandmates again.
It hasn't yet been revealed what the next steps will be for RHCP with Frusciante, but it's expected that the group will record a studio album with the guitarist and go on a world tour. More information should be released soon.
