"My heart is filled with joy to perform at the pyramids of Egypt," said Flea

The Red Hot Chili Peppers will be live-streaming their performance at the Egyptian Pyramids. The show will be streamed on the band's official YouTube page on Friday, March 15th.

“Before every new place, my body tingles with excitement. A longing for new mysteries to be discovered, a fascination with each new culture, the possibility of new friends. Trying new foods, new smells, absorbing new rhythms,” Flea in a statement. “Learning. Learning. Learning. It’s happening now, my heart is overflowing with joy to be performing in Egypt. I am so grateful and honored by this experience.”

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are working on their 12th album, the successor to The Getaway . However, Chad Smith revealed that the California wildfires disrupted the process. “We started working on it – which for us means getting into a room and making noise together. But then, with the fires, we were unable to get into the house we were using.”
