Red Hot Chili Peppers unveiled their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles this Thursday, the 31st, on the eve of the release of their album Unlimited Love , marking the return of John Frusciante .
Accompanied by family members, the band members participated in the unveiling of the star bearing the group's name this afternoon, with hundreds of fans gathered at the site to watch the event.
“I want to thank all the people in the world for whom our music means something and everyone who is here today,” Frusciante said in his speech. “And thank you to my friends in this band, who made me who I am.”
Chad Smith took the opportunity to mention all the former band members in his speech and paid tribute to Taylor Hawkins . "I love him and we will all miss him very much," he said. "He would laugh and make some cool comment about all this, I love him."
