Fans of Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Netflix series Love , Death and Robots have a lot to celebrate: the band will have a dedicated episode in the new season of the show.

The next installment of the science fiction anthology series will be directed by David Fincher , the renowned director of Se7en and Fight Club , who also serves as an executive producer on the show.

Titled “Can't Stop”, the name of one of the group's most famous tracks from the album By the Way (2002), the episode promises to reimagine the band's memorable funk rock performance at Slane Castle in Ireland, placing Anthony Kiedis , Flea , Chad Smith and John Frusciante in the role of puppets.

Combining Fincher's creativity with the rebellious energy of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, this episode has all the makings of one of the most acclaimed of the new season, which arrives on Netflix on May 15th.

Red Hot Chili Peppers seeks to sell its music catalog for US$350 million.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are in negotiations to sell their music catalog for approximately US$350 million, which is equivalent to roughly R$2 billion at the current exchange rate. According to Billboard , the deal includes all albums released since Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991).

Currently, the material generates an annual profit of US$26 million (approximately R$149 million) for the band. The group owns the rights to the masters of their thirteen studio albums, all released by Warner Music , which would be the main interested party in the acquisition (via NME ).

However, it is unclear whether the band owns the rights to the first four albums, released by EMI , the label with which they parted ways in the early 1990s when they signed with Warner — a partnership that continues to this day.

According to Billboard , the catalog is estimated to generate a gross profit of US$20 million per year for the record label. Despite the potential return, Warner is considering reducing the offer, given the time needed to recoup the investment.
