The American stoner rock band Red Fang is coming to Brazil in May for shows in Porto Alegre, Curitiba, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Belo Horizonte.
The band released their most recent album, Arrows , in 2021 – still during the pandemic period that prevented international tours. In an interview with Wikimetal , Red Fang gave more details about the universe they create in their shows and the biggest difference between their live performances and their music videos.
“We try to offer the most intense musical experience possible and, honestly, the content of our music is anything but cheerful,” explains vocalist Bryan Giles . “There’s a dichotomy, but so far, people are okay with it. Sometimes there’s a shock, hopefully it’s a positive surprise.”
Bryan Giles (vocals and guitar), David Sullivan (guitar), Aaron Beam (bass and vocals) and John Sherman (drums) are currently promoting the album Arrows (2021), but the show on this third visit to Brazil will feature songs from various phases of their career, including tracks from the albums Red Fang, Murder the Mountains, Whales and Leeches and Only Ghosts.
Red Fang's shows in Brazil will take place on the following dates: May 3rd in Porto Alegre, at Opinião Bar ( tickets ), May 4th in Curitiba, at Hard Rock Café ( tickets ), May 5th in Belo Horizonte, at Caverna Rock Pub ( tickets ), May 6th in São Paulo, at Fabrique Club ( tickets ), and May 7th in Rio de Janeiro, at Agyto ( tickets ).
Ticket prices vary by city, ranging from R$120 to R$300. Check the show information for your city to find out about promotional tickets with a donation of 1kg of food.
About Red Fang
Formed in Portland (USA) in 2005, Red Fang has become one of the biggest names in stoner rock worldwide. “We didn't create expectations when we started Red Fang. We didn't impose a specific path on ourselves. Our only goal was to play the music that, before anything else, made us form the band. We didn't want to confuse people, much less impress them by showing that we were good. What we compose is a reflection of what influenced us to pick up a guitar or drumsticks. We like to explore what music can offer and we seek the freedom to create within our style,” Bryan Giles once stated to Roadie Crew magazine.
