Red Fang 's fifth studio album took exactly five years to arrive, but the band is finally back! Aaron Beam, Bryan Giles, John Sherman , and David Sullivan , Arrows , this Friday, the 4th .
The successor to Only Ghosts (2016), the new album was recorded and finalized before the pandemic, in December 2019. Despite being a year late from the original release plan, Arrows arrives with a current and contagious sound.
“Making this album felt totally free and easy. It felt like we were just doing what we wanted, and not overthinking anything,” comments vocalist and bassist Beam. “That attitude reminded me a lot of the creative process behind Murder the Mountains . The result doesn’t sound anything like MTM , but it has more of that feel.”
The laid-back atmosphere is exemplified in the band's fun music videos, a continuation of their successful partnership with Whitey McConnaugh . Even in heavier narratives, such as "Why ," the group's irreverence remains present, as does the weight and depth of their sound. Listen below.
