A few days ago, it was discovered that Coal Chamber , Rayna Foss , had been reported missing in September. Now, her daughter, Kayla Rose , has clarified everything, revealing that her mother is not missing and that she spoke to her mother "just yesterday."
On September 13, the local Fox affiliate, TV WVUE, posted that Foss had been reported missing on September 7 by a manager of the house where the artist resides in New Orleans. The report went largely unnoticed for almost four months, but was finally leaked by music websites this week.
, Sevendust drummer Morgan Rose , took to Instagram to report that her mother is safe and sound:
"To everyone who has somehow been in contact and to the media that has been reporting on this: let me clarify things. I have seen all the posts about my mother Rayna being missing since September. I have no idea where these stories are coming from. I spoke to my mother yesterday and we have never lost contact. My grandparents have also been in contact with my mother and we all know exactly where she is. I sent a message to the New Orleans Police Department informing them about this and I am waiting for a response."
I've also seen other stories about [Coal Chamber vocalist] Dez [Fafara] – my mother's former singer – and a feud with my father Morgan. Those are also false. My father and Dez have been friends for a long time.
I'm confused about where all this started, but it can stop now.
I hope there won't be a next time, but perhaps someone could verify these stories before publishing them, as they end up upsetting my entire family.
Heavy Consequence news team contacted the state police department several times to inquire about the registration, but were unable to speak to anyone live, only receiving automated recordings.
Foss played bass in Coal Chamber from 1994 until their initial split in 2003. She appeared on the band's first three albums: Coal Chamber , 1999's Chamber Music Dark Days . However, she did not return to the band when they reunited from 2011 to 2016.
