This week, American rapper OsamaSon announced on Instagram that he was being sued by Iron Maiden , according to information from X (formerly Twitter) on the Kurrco website (via Metal Injection ).

The lawsuit was filed after the rapper used a famous artwork of the mascot Eddie that was created for the cover of the legendary 1984 Powerslave Flex Music (FLXTRA) .

In Powerslave , Eddie appears mummified and being struck by several lightning bolts while biting a chain. The artwork was done by Derek Riggs.

As for the rapper's artwork, the image has its colors modified and some items have been added, such as dreadlocks, very similar to his own. Check out the comparison of the artworks at the end of this article.

On the night of last Saturday, the 4th, OsamaSon spoke out again and contradicted what he himself had said previously: “I wanted to clarify things about Iron Maiden. They did not sue me and are not suing me. They politely asked me to change the artwork because I did not ask their permission. Let's keep the positivity and stop trolling/harassing.”
