The lead singer of Lamb of God and the dub reggae legend are featured on the new single from the Saudade collective

Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe and dub reggae pioneer Lee “Scratch” Perry are featured on the new song by the Saudade , “Lions”.

The collective includes members Chuck Doom (Crosses); Dr. Know (Bad Brains); John Medeski (Medeski, Martin, & Wood); Gil Sharone (ex-Marilyn Manson); David Torn (David Bowie); and Mackie Jayson (Cro-Mags) .

“Lions” was released along with a music video showing Blythe recording the vocals, which alternate between clean singing and metal screams.

In an interview, Blythe explained the lyrics of the track. “It kind of follows that psychotic vibe of the movie 'Natural Born Killers'. But the song is about an invasive species of fish called Lionfish. They are aggressively dangerous and a threat to marine life.”.
