Randy Blythe , lead singer of Lamb of God , announced on his social media that he will auction off an extremely rare pair of sneakers autographed by Ozzy Osbourne to raise funds for charity. The initiative fulfills a promise Blythe made to Ozzy just days before his death at age 76.
The pair of sneakers, an exclusive Adidas model, was a gift given to the artists who participated in the Back to the Beginning benefit concert . Only 121 pairs were produced. Days after the concert, during Comic-Con Midlands , Blythe met Ozzy and asked him to autograph her pair with the intention of auctioning them off for the same charities supported by the event.
All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Cure Parkinson's, Birmingham Children's Hospital, and Acorn Children's Hospice charities, the same ones that received the famous $190 million donation from the show.

In a moving text, Blythe recalled her last meeting with the metal icon and the importance he had in her life.
The vocalist expressed his sadness at Black Sabbath's recent departure, but also gratitude for having seen the band play "on their terms." He recounted that 10 days prior, at Comic Con Midlands, he was in Ozzy Osbourne's dressing room with Scott Ian and Frank Bello Back to the Beginning show .
“While I was in the waiting room, I asked Ozzy to autograph my sneakers — the ones I’m holding in this photo. Only 121 pairs of this Adidas model were made, exclusively as a thank-you gift for the artists who performed at the “Back to the Beginning” show. I told Ozzy I was going to auction them off to raise even more funds for the charities benefiting from the concert, and he was very pleased with that,” Randy wrote.
