Rammstein announces new album with powerful reflection on time in “Zeit”; watch

The title track from the band's new album arrives with a flawless music video.

Rammstein announced their eighth studio album with the release of the project's title track, "Zeit," this Thursday, the 10th, bringing a powerful reflection on time, life, and death in yet another cinematic music video.

The song begins more slowly, in a deliberate contradiction between a dramatic and subtle atmosphere, growing in weight and intensity over its more than six-minute duration.

In the music video, the questions raised in the lyrics are represented with visual splendor and a mysterious, cyclical depiction of Death, which is also Life, accompanying everyone from birth to the final embrace.

The album Zeit was recorded during the pandemic, and only French astronaut Thomas Pesquet had heard the project's first single until now, directly from the International Space Station.

The successor to Rammstein (2019), the new album will be released next month, but there is still no specific date confirmed. Watch the music video for “Zeit” below.
