Rammstein is in the studio preparing a new album

Rammstein's last album was released in 2009

German industrial metal giants Rammstein posted a series of photos on Facebook to announce they are back in the studio.

Last May, guitarists Richard Kruspe and Paul Landers told Metal Hammer that their goal for the upcoming album was to "try unusual methods, new ideas, and change the course they usually take" and make the recording a "milestone" in their career.

Kruspe later hinted that the album, still untitled, could be the band's last work. He said: “I feel that, for some reason, this will be the last record. That's a feeling, I could be wrong – but at the moment, I feel that this is perhaps the last chance we have. I want to give 200% and make it the best it can be. When I listen to things, there's a lot of potential. I'm very happy with what we're doing at the moment, so I'm looking forward to starting to record.”

The band released the live DVD Rammstein: Paris in May 2017, which was recorded during their Made In Germany 1995-2011 tour. Rammstein's last studio album, Liebe ist für alle da , was released in 2009.
