Guitarist Paul Landers said the new album "isn't too sterile, nor too clean."

Rammstein guitarist Paul Landers opened up about the upcoming album. He said the band members are bringing in an element of fun for the first time in a while.

Speaking to Guitar World , the guitarist and Richard Kruspe explained how the band is approaching the new sound differently.

“It’s not very sterile, nor very clean,” said Landers. “It has a lot of life and energy, but it’s not just anger. The music is more than that. It’s different for Rammstein. You could even say it’s fun to listen to.”.

He added that “today, anyone with a computer at home can make music at home. You can program things and have a cool-sounding, regular drum program. And that’s cool, but our goal was to do something that can’t be done at home. Something where you can hear the humans behind the instruments.”

Landers also said that the process was frustrating at times. “We never get along. Every time we see each other, we fight. We are six guys and six different opinions; we are very involved in everything. So we get angry. We don't punch each other or anything like that. We just try to yell, but we haven't resolved things yet. I hope we don't have to come to blows and that we can decide everything just by talking.”
