The cause of death of Canisso , bassist for the band Raimundos , was revealed by the musician's family, according to information from the websites Quem and Veja .
José Henrique Campos, Canisso's birth name, died at age 57 last Monday, the 13th. The news was confirmed by the band's manager, Denis Porto, on the date of his death, without further details about the cause.
According to magazines that covered Canisso's wake last Wednesday, the 15th, family members confirmed that the cause of death was a heart attack. The musician suffered a fall at home and was taken to the hospital, but did not survive.
The bassist was part of the band's biggest hits such as "Eu Quero Ver O Oco," "Mulher de Fases," and "A Mais Perdida." He also participated in both phases of Raimundos: the first with Rodolfo Abrantes on vocals (until 2001) and the second with Digão (from 2001 onwards).
