Raimundos confirmed last Thursday, the 16th, that they will continue performing with the remaining scheduled shows after Canisso 's death .
Adriana Toscano , wife of the late bassist, posted photos on Instagram of the musician rehearsing alongside his current replacement, Jean Moura . Jean was not only recommended by vocalist and guitarist Digão , but he was also the band's roadie.
“Canisso rehearsed Jean Moura to play at some shows a few months ago. Raimundos has a schedule to fulfill and together, Digão suggested Jean to us, the Canisso family. It would certainly have been Canisso's choice. So we continue saddened… but with faith. That would have been his wish… we miss him,” wrote the widow.
The band also reposted Adriana's post : "The Raimundos family remains united! That would certainly be our brother Canisso's wish! We will move forward with much respect and longing."
Canisso passed away on March 13th, at the age of 57, due to a heart attack .
