Rage releases music video for single “Under a Black Crown”

The song is part of the new album 'Afterlifelines', which will be released later in 2024

German metal band Rage has just released “Under a Black Crow.” This is the first single from their upcoming studio album, Afterlifelines , which will be released on March 29. Its release is accompanied by a music video directed by Mirko Witzki .

The album celebrates the band's 40th anniversary and is expected to feature 21 songs divided into two discs. The first will be called Afterlife and will consist of songs recorded solely by the trio. The second will be Lifelines , which will feature an orchestra with classical arrangements.

Singer and bassist Peavy Wagner revealed that he and his colleagues, Jean Bormann (guitar) and Vassilios “Lucky” Maniatopoulos (drums), had to cut 94 minutes of recordings, and even what he calls the “20-minute Grand Finale” was removed from the final version. Check it out:

The band promises a biography for 2024. Its release is scheduled for the second half of the year. It should include rare photos, behind-the-scenes footage, and lots of great stories.

Two more singles are expected before the album's release. Starting in March, the band will embark on a world tour that includes Europe, Asia, and North America. For now, Brazil is not included. Check out the cover and tracklist of the new album:
